Judge Indicts Abu Taqiyeh, Charges him with Belonging to Nusra

An indictment and arrest warrant were issued on Tuesday against fugitive Sheikh Mustafa al-Hujeiri, who is also known as Abu Taqiyeh, for belonging to al-Qaida-linked al-Nusra Front.

The state-run National News Agency reported that Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawwan charged Abu Taqiyeh with belonging to the terrorist group of al-Nusra Front with the aim of carrying out terror acts.

Hujeiri was referred to the permanent military court.

He withdrew from negotiations with Islamist gunmen to release abducted Lebanese security personnel after his convoy came under fire as he was escorting back the family of soldier George Khoury following their meeting.

Hujeiri hinted that the Lebanese army was behind the shooting.

In September, Hujeiri escorted the mother, brother and sister of Khoury to the outskirts of Arsal to visit him, but they came under fire at Arsal's edge on their way back home.

Khoury is one of a number of soldiers and policemen who were abducted by Islamist militants from the northeastern border town of Arsal in August in light of clashes in the area between the army and the gunmen from Syria.

A few of them have since been released, while three others were executed, prompting a backlash against Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr also charged on Tuesday four people with belonging to al-Nusra Front with the aim of carrying out terrorist acts.

The four suspects include Ahmed Jenyat and Abdulrazek Khodr.

If convicted, they could face the death penalty.

They were referred to the First Military Investigation Judge, Riyad Abu Ghida.

when you speak against nusra/da3esh, it always sounds like a pretext for you diversion towards Hezbollah.

also, I wonder why you always link hezbollah in when you mention nusra/da3esh, but never do the opposite in your 47 daily rants against hezbollah.

The same! I was going to mention the same thing _mowaten_!!! We are so similar: we are both propagandists, we both accuse others of what we are, we both are shia extremists and pretend to be moderates, we both are fake. I just hope readers don't think we are the same poster!

Dear Judge Sawan: any news about the indictment and arrest warrants of the HA members who assassinated Rafic Hariri?

Dear Judge Sawan: any news about the indictment of the Zoieters and their foes who used RPGs and heavy machine guns in their heated "debate" last week?

Dear Judge Sawan: any news on the indictments and arrest warrants of HA and Amal members who invaded Beirut on May 7th and killed more than 100 people?

Have a good day!

Have a good day!

Have a good day!

eagldown, i keep telling you, you're asking the wrong people my dear! if you really want to know who killed shatah, ask the people in charge, those who run the ISF, the government and the ministry of justice.

(all incidentally happen to be m14, but that shouldn't stop you from addressing them with your sincere concerns. i'm sure sad hariri is listening and will tweet you an answer)

Thumb EagleDawn 14 October 2014, 14:08

I was not asking you mowaten, I was asking Judge Sawan. But since you gave your unsolicited advise, I tell you what I did. I asked the government and its justice minister who attacked the LAF in Tripoli and he said it was Hezbollah.

We need to go house to house to get our soldiers by any means. Our soldiers and police need to be a red line. I understand that HA has too much clout. It's like negotiating with someone with a rifle sitting in their lap saying "I have no weapons pointed at you, if have one in my lap, it's not for you, but let's have an open dialog." I get it. I believe that they need to be reeled in a bit under our government. I would have preferred to see them on the Syrian border vs in Syria. However, it's silly to think that they are the same level as nusra/Isis. Anyone seen the YouTube on Ras Baalbek? There are villagers armed on patrol looking for ISIS because of their proximity to qalamoun... Do we have this fear of HA coming to Christian villages to burn our churches and kidnap our priests? HA may be a problem and be more of a Shia advocacy group than Lebanese Nationalists but nothing close to Isis/nusra.

thank your allies the hezbullah who went and started killing them in their own villages. We did not have these issues prior to your hizb involvement in syria.

Thumb zahle1 14 October 2014, 13:35

We don't have these issues due to HA. These guys whether iqwan/nusra/Isis have been spreading through the Islamic world like wildfire. Half of these wackos are Tunisian/Pakistanis/gulf/Yemeni... They are here because of HA? Come on dude! HA may have joined to support Assad and protect their clout in Lebanon. It wasn't to protect a shrine solely and it wasn't to kill unarmed Sunni in the border towns either.

Default-user-icon jacob.dastona (Guest) 14 October 2014, 13:40

there was no ISIL when HA went to souria! Nasrallah first claim was to defend shia villages.

Thumb _mowaten_ 14 October 2014, 14:04

yea right "dahyeh1 (Guest)" i bet kurds also deserved the ethnic cleansing because... uh.. they were neutral in the syrian war. and syrians also probably started it too, and went to tunis/libya/chechnya to kill innocents which prompted the response of the noble nusra3esh avengers.

Thumb freedomarch 14 October 2014, 14:17

But yes we should all defend the army first.

Thumb Mystic 14 October 2014, 14:33

zahle1, maybe because Hezbollah doesn't behead innocent civilians, and burn down churches such as Isis does, I never really understood christians that hates Hezbollah, in neighbouring Syria they throw flowers at Resistance fighters, because Hezbollah has lost lots of it's warriors in protecting Christians, that were unable to defend themselves. Stop supporting USA and Israel, they don't give a damn about you.
