Belgian Men to Drop Briefs to Save Piglets Pain

Belgian men are being urged to "Let-em hang!" and go brief-free Friday by animal rights campaigners bent on ending the pain of the five million piglets castrated in the country each year.

"Through the 'Let'em hang!' campaign we are seeking to convince farmers to allow their piglets to let them hang too," said animal welfare group Gaia in a statement issued to save animals from a knife administered without painkillers.

The man was detained at around 1 am in the Alexandrovsky Sad park around the Kremlin after he was spotting trying to climb the walls of the tightly guarded fortress, which houses the offices of the Russian president.

After capturing a one-ton crocodile that could be one of the biggest caught alive in the world, officials said Tuesday that they are hunting for an even bigger beast that may be lurking in the creeks of a remote southern Philippine region.

Villagers and veteran hunters ensnared a 20-foot (6.1-meter) saltwater crocodile over the weekend after a three-week hunt in Bunawan township in Agusan del Sur province, where terrified villagers have reported at least one deadly attack by the huge reptiles.
